This consulting
engagement is focused on the assessment of an organization's People,
Process, and Technology as it relates to Requirements Development
and Management.
Goal of Service
A clear vision
regarding the specific optimization opportunities across an
organization's People, Process, and Technology within the
Requirements Development and Management phase of the SDLC.
Description of Service
The first part of
the engagement is the Kickoff meeting with the key stakeholders of
the requirements development and management team. PE will review and
validate the customer expectations and ensure the service engagement
meets those goals. PE will then meet one on one with managers or
leads such as requirements manager, business analyst, project
leaders and any staff identified as a key stakeholder. Stakeholders
will be expected to discuss topics covering eliciting, analyzing,
validating, documenting, and managing requirements. In addition,
stakeholders will provide pre-identified artifacts necessary to
conduct the interviews. Stakeholders may be asked to complete
questionnaires prior to the Kickoff meetings. This phase of the
engagement is to document and understand the "as is" condition of
people, process, and technology for the requirements development and
management aspect of the SDLC.
In the second part
of the engagement PE works with the identified stakeholders to
identify optimization opportunities. The "Optimization Report" will
incorporate interview notes, observations, details, explanations,
examples and draws conclusions from relationships and patterns that
emerge from data and use appropriate visual aids and media to
communicate its results. The Optimization Report provides a roadmap
of detailed actions and recommendations pertaining to people,
process, and technology training and mentoring so that an
organization may optimize its requirements development and
management process.
